CRA Board Approves $640,000 Incentive for the The Pantry Lofts

On August 17, 2021, The Fort Lauderdale City Commission, acting as the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board of Commissioners, approved a $640,000 Development Incentive Program Loan to Green Mills Holdings, LLC and The Pantry of Broward, Inc. for  the development of “The Pantry Lofts”. This loan is contingent upon the award of 9% tax credits from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation.

The Pantry Lofts is a  proposed mixed-use development that will feature an  8-story, 90-unit residential tower located in the Progresso Village area at the corner of Sistrunk Boulevard and NW 3 Avenue. The project will  offer affordable senior housing and new facilities for The Pantry of Broward along with structured parking and building amenities.

In addition to new residential apartments, the development will also include retail and promenade space  along Sistrunk Boulevard to help activate and encourage  continued improvements along the commercial  corridor. The development will also have a new warehouse and office facilities for the Pantry to help further its mission of providing food to Broward County seniors. The Pantry’s expansion,  will also create six new jobs for area residents.
