Fort Lauderdale CRA Honored with Two Statewide Redevelopment Awards

The Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) was recently recognized by the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) for excellence in community revitalization and redevelopment. The FRA Roy F. Kenzie Awards honor the best redevelopment projects and programs across the state of Florida each year, evaluating nominees in nine juried categories.

The 2025 FRA Roy F. Kenzie Awards recognized the Northwest-Progresso-Flagler Heights Community Redevelopment Area (NPF-CRA) as the recipient of two prestigious awards, presented during the 2025 FRA Annual Conference in West Palm Beach on Thursday, October 16, 2025:

  • Outstanding Rehabilitation, Renovation, or Reuse – Large City for the Thrive Art District

  • Outstanding Housing Project – Large City for the Mount Hermon Apartments

These recognitions mark the fifth and sixth FRA awards earned by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s NPF-CRA and underscore the City’s ongoing commitment to impactful redevelopment, innovative programming, and transformative community investment.
