A transportation plan is underway for the Northwest-Progresso-Flagler Heights Community Redevelopment Area (NPF CRA). This is a community-based effort that is analyzing how people move around this community (by foot, bike, transit, car, or o any other means). Through this process we will discuss any concerns people may have in trying to get to places, and what ways would people prefer to get around if there were choices. The project team will also help the community come up with a list of transportation improvements that will help improve existing conditions and define the mobility vision for the NPF CRA area for years to come.   Finally Friday on Sistrunk is a series of free outdoor events held on Sistrunk Boulevard. The family-friendly event features presentations about the CRA area, food trucks, vendors, art, music, live entertainment, and an interactive kids’ zone. The pop-up series will take place on the 4th Friday of the month on : March 27, 2020 April 24,2020 May 22,2020 June 26,2020 July 24,2020 August 28, 2020 Finally Friday takes place along the Historic Sistrunk Boulevard  from N.W. 13th to N.W 11th Avenue  from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For more information and vendor opportunities contact the CRA at (954) 828-4617 or visit www.fortlauderdalecra.com

Blue Tree Café is hosting a tasting on September 24th, 2021  outside the Fort Lauderdale  CRA office in the parking lot from 4:00p.m. to 8:00pm. The local business is slated to open up at the new plaza located along Powerline Road and Sistrunk Blvd with support from the Fort Lauderdale CRA. They are having a  pop-up to provide a tasting of their food, which is primarily southern style / soul food vegan. A $20 donation is requested.
