Open Streets Fort Lauderdale offers a variety of family-friendly recreational, cultural, educational and safety-related activities throughout the day, many of which encourage attendees to get involved. Make sure to keep checking back as new activities are being added every day.
Open Streets Traffic Advisory
The following traffic restrictions will be in effect on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Open Streets FortRoute map OS 2016 Lauderdale event. These restrictions will affect N. Andrews Avenue and surrounding neighborhoods. Motorists should expect traffic delays in and around the affected area and are encouraged to follow posted detour signs and travel slowly in the area to ensure the safety of pedestrians, bicyclists, and other motorists.
Full Road Closures
N Andrews Avenue between NE/NW 1 Street and NE/NW 7 Street
NW 1 Avenue between NW 6 Street/Sistrunk Boulevard and NW 5 Street
NW 5 Street between N Andrews Avenue and NW Flagler Avenue
NW Flagler Avenue between NW 4 Street and NW 5 Street
NW 2 Street between N Andrews Avenue and NW 1 Avenue/Brickell Avenue
Detour information
Northbound traffic on S Andrews Avenue will be detoured east on E Broward Boulevard to NE 3 Avenue.
Southbound traffic on N Andrews Avenue will be detoured east on E Sunrise Boulevard to NE 4 Avenue.
Westbound traffic on NW 4 Street will be detoured to NW 7 Avenue/Avenue of the Arts to NW 6 Street/Sistrunk Bouelvard.
Eastbound traffic on NE 4 Street will be detoured to NE 3 Avenue and then to NE 6 Street/Sistrunk Boulevard.
Other important information
The intersection of NE/NW 6 Street/Sistrunk Boulevard and N Andrews Avenue will remain open for east-west traffic. Single lane closures should be expected.
Southbound traffic on N Flagler Drive may exit north to N Andrews Avenue.
