Explore new neighborhoods with Art Walks in Broward By Stephanie Brito

If you’re looking to explore new neighborhoods, check out some of these popular art walks in Broward County. The walks are free, parking is often at no cost and you can enjoy a fun-filled evening viewing art, exploring new places and often, listen to music as you stroll.

Sailboat Bend Harvest ArtFest

Celebrate both the harvest season and local artists with this quaint neighborhood’s fall art festival. The festival will feature more than 20 artists, open studio spaces, a farmers market, live music, pop-up merchants, a pumpkin patch, a costume contest and food trucks. The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 16 at 1310 SW Second Ct. www.sailboatbendartfestival.com.

FATVillage ARTWALK

Held the last Saturday of every month, FATVillage Arts District hosts an ARTWALK featuring art exhibits and live performances. A cross between visual and performing arts, the monthly event features local artists, businesses, food and live music. FATVillage, which stands for Flagler Arts and Technology Village, is a growing community in Fort Lauderdale for artists, musicians, photographers and other young professionals. Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk

On the third Saturday of every month, Hollywood hosts ArtWalk featuring live music and art galleries dotted across downtown. Guests can also enjoy live demonstrations from local artists. Free on-street parking is available. Wilton Manors Art Expo

The Wilton Manors Art Expo season will run from November through April to promote the community’s artists. This year, the event formerly known as the Art Walk on Wilton Drive will be known as the Wilton Manors Art Expo. Galleries, cafes, boutiques and restaurants will host artists along Wilton Drive. Artists from around the world will display their work in multiple mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, craft and jewelry. North Beach Art Walk

The North Beach Art DistrictArt Walk is from 7 to 11 p.m. the first Saturday of every month. While walking along the Art District, guests can see street vendors, paintings and musicians. Galleries throughout the district are open. The next North Beach Art District Art Walk will be Oct. 1 at 32nd and 33rd streets, north of Oakland Park Boulevard.
