COMMUNITY REDEVLOPMENT AGENCY INVESTS $500,000 IN NEW DEVELOPMENT

(Fort Lauderdale, FL – May 2017) –  The Northwest-Progresso-Flagler Community Redevelopment Agency (NPF CRA) has green-lighted major renovations and new construction in Flagler Village. One of the most recent construction projects to receive funding from the NPF CRA is the Quantum at Flagler Village, at Federal Highway and Sunrise Boulevard, a combination retail, hotel and multi-family development.

The Prime Group, an established developer throughout South Florida, is developing the Quantum at Flagler Village which features a 337-unit luxury multi-family community housed in two fifteen story towers, with over 20,000 square feet of flexible commercial space on the ground floor and a nine story Marriott Courtyard Hotel on Federal Highway. The apartment component consists of a variety of one, two, and three-bedroom floor plans with amenities such as a resort-style swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center and other state of the art residential amenities. The hotel component will have 137 guest rooms and suites, a bistro restaurant and bar and a scenic rooftop pool.

The Quantum at Flagler Village sits nestled between four streets – Federal Highway, NE 7th Street, NE 8th Street, and NE 5th Avenue. The developer promises to provide several improvements that will enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and overall pedestrian experience in this area. The improvements are: Relocation of 5th Terrace, including new water, sewer, and drainage; upgrading of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm) on 7th and 8th Street, as well as milling and resurfacing portions of those streets; installation around the site of new sidewalks, curbing, pavers, on street parallel parking, parking in a 5-story garage, landscaping, and street lighting.

The total cost of construction is $86 Million. The NPF CRA has invested $500,000 in the Quantum at Flagler Village. This is one of many development projects underway in the three distinct neighborhoods served by NPF CRA.
